Barcelona vs Juventus preview

FC Barcelona are looking for another miracle on Wednesday to overcome the three-goal deficit from the first leg

The absence of Sergio Busquets was felt in the first game as Barca lost the midfield battle against the well prepared Italian champions who are currently looking like genuine contenders for the Champions League trophy. Barca’s anchorman will be back for the return leg at the Camp Nou and it will most definitely be a huge boost for the Catalans.

Luis Enrique will probably revert to the same lineup that started their historical win over Paris Saint-Germain in the last round as his team is after another miracle tomorrow.

Paulo Dybala will be the center of attention again as the Argentine forward overcame an injury scare and will be ready to start after starring in Turin.

Max Allegri will probably go with the same eleven players who started the first leg as he’s looking to maintain the three goal margin.

Juventus have won all four of their Champions League away matches this season and have only conceded one goal in that time. Max Allegri’s side haven’t even conceded a goal in Europe in their last 441 minutes of action and are best equipped to stop a free-scoring Barcelona side. They’d become the first side since Bayern Munich in May 2013 to prevent Barcelona from scoring over two legs in a Champions League match.

Barcelona are averaging 4.5 goals per game over their last six home games in all competitions, which would be enough to see them through to the next round, but then Juventus are a better side than Paris Saint-Germain and their first leg advantage should be enough to see them through.
