Antonio Brown’s Cleats to Feature Jose Fernandez, Kimbo Slice

In what is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events each and every week, Antonio Brown revealed his new cleats for this week’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins.

The cleats will feature Kimbo Slice and Jose Fernandez, two athletes who passed away this year, and both with ties to Miami – the Steelers’ opponent this week.

Slice was born in the Bahamas before moving to Florida as a child. During his nine-year fighting career which included stints in Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing, he officially fought out of Miami. Slice passed away in June of 2016 from heart failure at the age of 42.

Fernandez was a Cuban born pitcher for the Miami Marlins who passed away in a boating accident in late September 2016 at the age of 24. He was widely regarded as one of the best young pitchers in baseball before his untimely death.

Last week, Brown wore cleats that honored golf legend Arnold Palmer. For all of your golf needs, visit Golfoid where you can review today’s hottest golf equipment before buying.

Brown has committed to wearing the cleats in pre-game warmups, but with the heavy fines levied against him for wearing cleats that don’t match team colors, it’s uncertain whether he will don them in the game.
