Cleveland Indians 6 – 0 Boston Red Sox
Game one of the ALDS was decided by a matter of inches. Game two was a no-doubt about it run away game. Brandon Guyer’s RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd was all the run support that Corey Kluber would need as Kluber pitched seven innings, allowing just three hits while striking out seven.
The Indians would tack on three more runs in the second inning on a Lonnie Chisenhall homerun, but that would turn out to be overkill.
The series moves to Boston, and after a rainout Sunday, will resume on Monday.
