Cleveland Indians 3 – 0 Toronto Blue Jays
Stellar pitching is what got them to the ALCS and stellar pitching is what ended up putting the Indians in the World Series. The Cleveland pitching staff combined for their second shutout of the series, allowing just six hits and no walks.
Ryan Merritt, Bryan Shaw, Andrew Miller and Cody Allen shut down the Blue Jays once again, holding the high-scoring team to just six runs over four games.
Mike Napoli’s RBI double in the first was all the Indians would need, although they tacked on two more with solo shots by Carlos Santana in the third and Coco Crisp in the fourth.
