The Atlanta Falcons agreed to a three-year contract with free-agent running back Steven Jackson on Thursday, the team announced on its Twitter account.
Steven Jackson’s record-setting career with the St. Louis Rams could be coming to an end. Jackson, the Rams’ career rushing leader, plans to void the final year of his contract to become a free agent March 12, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Monday.
After 9 seasons with the Saint Louis Rams, Steven Jackson has negotiated a void of his contract that was originally set to run through the 2013 season. He will be free to pursue free agency following the 2012 campaign.
