Thabo Sefolosha, Guard/Forward for the Atlanta Hawks, is heading back to court – but not the basketball court. Sefolosha is suing the City of New York as well as eight different police officers for $50 Million in damages, following a bizarre sequence of events back in April 2015.
According to the incident report obtained from the Georgia State Patrol, Budenholzer was pulled over at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in Atlanta for not having working taillights. Trooper J. Nelms said in the report that Budenholzer had bloodshot and watery eyes “and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.”
Budenholzer, 43, has been an assistant with the Spurs for the past 17 years and been with the organization under coach Gregg Popovich for 19 years overall. He has a long-term relationship with Hawks general manager Danny Ferry, who played for Budenholzer and worked with him as an executive with the Spurs.
Atlanta Hawks swingman Dahntay Jones outspokenly defended himself against criticism from Kobe Bryant, claiming that he did not intentionally attempt to injure the Los Angeles Lakers superstar in the final seconds of Wednesday night’s game.
