The Lyon forward will join the Spanish outfit before the club’s pre-season tour in the summer.
The ridiculous transfer saga surrounding Alexander Lacazette’s future is finally over.
Atletico Madrid and Lyon appear to have agreed a deal about the 25-year-old forward which will allow him to make the switch to the Spanish club.
Lacazette is a product of Lyon’s academy and has given 8 years to the senior squad as a professional, scoring over 100 league goals in the process. He has been the club’s most prolific striker since breaking into the starting eleven in 2013, scoring 20 league goals a season on average.
Numerous other clubs were interested in Lacazette’s services, but he has chosen Atletico Madrid who he believes fit his playing style the most.
This only further sparks the rumors that Lacazette’s teammate from the French national team, Antoine Griezmann, will be leaving Atletico in the summer with Manchester United his most likely destination.
