San Diego Chargers‘ linebacker, Manti Te’o, suffered an Achilles injury in the first quarter of the Chargers loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Chargers have now seen a key player go down with a season-ending injury in each of the team’s first three games this year. In week one, it was Keenan Allen. In week two it was Danny Woodhead; and now Te’o.
The fourth-year player said he felt a pop in his lower leg as he was dropping back in coverage. Any time a player goes down to the turf with a non-contact injury, you know it’s going to be bad, and team doctors confirmed that late Sunday afternoon.
