Panthers Discussing Possibility of Moving Sundays Game from Charlotte

In the middle of some of the worst rioting the city has seen, sources say that officials from the Carolina Panthers and the NFL are discussing the possibility of moving Sunday’s game away from Charlotte. Several companies located in downtown Charlotte have encouraged their employees to stay home. The NASCAR Hall of Fame, located in downtown Charlotte has had several windows smashed.

The last time a game was moved on such short notice was the Monday Night game between the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins. The game was moved to Tempe, Arizona as a result of raging forest fires in the San Diego area.  Last year, the Baltimore Orioles played a game in a completely empty stadium due to rioting in the city.
