Ever since the New Orleans Saints’ bounty scandal from 2009-12, the NFL has cracked down hard on anything that could be viewed as malicious intent towards any players.
So when NFL Network Analyst Brian Baldinger went on Philly sports radio last week and suggested that the Philadelphia Eagles put a bounty on Ezekiel Elliott, you just knew a suspension was coming. How does six months without pay sound to you?
His comments started a firestorm amongs Dallas Cowboys fans, and rightfully so. Eventually the Network caught wind and immediately imposed the suspension. It’s unclear whether Baldinger will be back with the network after his suspension.
