Larry Fitzgerald on the Verge of History

If Larry Fitzgerald (WR for the Arizona Cardinals) can come away with just 13 receiving yards this Sunday, he will become the third youngest receiver to reach 13,000 yards – and he won’t be in bad company. The only two receivers to reach the mark in a shorter time-frame were Jerry Rice and Randy Moss – largely regarded as two of the best wide receivers ever to play the game.

A few more milestones are within reach this season (though not necessarily on Sunday) that will continue to write Fitzgerald’s case for Canton.

8 more receptions and he ties Randy Moss at 12th all time with 982.
He’s 18 receptions behind Witten who is 11th and 26 behind Hines Ward who is 10th.

3 TD receptions and he ties Don Hutson at 11th all time with 99.
4 TD receptions and he ties Tim Brown and Steve Largent at 8th all time with 100.
He is 5 TDs behind Antonio Gates at 7th all time.
