Jaguars & 49ers Set to Square off in 2013 London Match

The National Football League has announced that the Jacksonville Jaguars and the San Francisco 49ers will meet in London on October 27, 2013.  The meeting is part of the annually scheduled, regular season NFL game, played in London; a tradition that started back in 2007.  The Jaguars have struck a deal which commits them to playing at least one regular season game in London for four consecutive years, starting with this 2013 matchup against the Niners.

The NFL has slowly been introducing the sport to fans in London, and the reception has been exceptional thus far. “We think Jaguars-49ers is a matchup our fans will really enjoy and a great way to start a new era in the international development of our game,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said.

The New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams will meet during this 2012 season on October 28th.

  1. It is really exciting to see the NFL continue to send us games over here. I think that as long as the NFL keeps sending good teams and good games over here, the sport will grow in popularity.
