If you’re anything like me, your fantasy season is already in shambles and you are scrambling to pick up some names off the waiver wire. Below are a few names you should consider if you’re looking to rebound after a tough week one loss.
Will Fuller – WR from the Houston Texans: As of today, Fuller is owned in just 60% of ESPN fantasy leagues, meaning there’s a decent chance he’s still available for you to snag. The rookie wideout recorded 5 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. Definitely worth a pickup.
Alex Smith – QB from the Kansas City Chiefs: As of today, Alex Smith is owned in just 30% of leagues, despite posting the fourth highest point total last week. He threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns, which was good enough for over 30 points in most leagues. He goes against a tougher defense in Houston for week two – but definitely worth snagging to play when the match-up is right.
Mike Wallace – WR from the Baltimore Ravens: Owned in just 50% of ESPN fantasy leagues, Mike Wallace is one of those boom or bust players who went boom last week. He had only three receptions which isn’t great for PPR formats, but he turned that into 91 yards and a score. His quarterback, Joe Flacco loves to air it out and as Flacco gets more comfortable with Wallace, look for them to connect more often.
Jets D/ST: For those of you who like to stream defenses, this could be a good pickup if they are available (40% availability in ESPN Leagues). They come off a game in which they recorded 7 sacks against the Cincinnati Bengals and now face the Buffalo Bills – a team that had a hard time moving the football in week one against the Ravens.
