American Football Conference (AFC)
- Marcus Mariota, quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, has been named the AFC Offensive Player of week 9.
- Mariota willed his team to victory, with a 371 yard/4 touchdown performance in the win over the New Orleans Saints.
- Darius Butler, CB for the Indianapolis Colts, has been named the AFC Defensive Player of week 9.
- Butler helped seal the win over the Denver Broncos with a late interception of Peyton Manning.
- Ryan Quigley, punter for the New York Jets, has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of week 9.
- In addition to punting, Quigley took over kicking duties, going 4/4 on extra points during the team’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
National Football Conference (NFC)
- Cam Newton, quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, has been named the NFC Offensive Player of week 9.
- Newton passed for 297 yards and three touchdowns, while adding another score on a rushing touchdown in the team’s victory over the Green Bay Packers.
- Linval Joseph, defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings, has been named the NFC Defensive Player of week 9.
- Joseph recorded 10 tackles, including three for a loss during the Vikings win over the St. Louis Rams.
- Josh Brown, kicker for the New York Giants, has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of week 9.
- Brown was 4/4 on field goal attempts, with a long of 53 in his team’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
