Georgia vs. Clemson: A Top 10 Rivalry is Renewed

The 1980’s college football era began with a boom in the cities of Athens, GA and Clemson, SC. The Georgia Bulldogs coached by Vince Dooley won the national championship in 1980 and the Clemson Tigers coached by Danny Ford won the national title in 1981. The two towns are about an hour and a half from each other.

College Football begins with a Border War in the South

The North Carolina Tar Heels and the South Carolina Gamecocks kick off the 2013 College Football season with a game this Thursday on ESPN at 6 pm. North Carolina, a state school known for its basketball history, will be traveling to Columbia to face South Carolina, a state school that is consumed with its recent football success and is hungry for more.

Middle Tenn: Pressure on NCAA ‘enormous’

An NCAA rule states that student-athletes who don’t enroll in college within a year of graduating high school will be charged one year of eligibility for every academic year they participate in organized competition.
