College Baseball Playoffs – 2010 Super Regional Brackets Almost Set
After a relatively mundane weekend in college baseball, most of the super regional slots are filled. Arizona State had no trouble advancing to the super regional where they will host either Arkansas or Washington St.
Texas and TCU saw little resistance on the way to their best of 3, super regional matchup. Other teams who are in but awaiting their opponents include: Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, UCLA, and Florida State. The regional playoffs wrap up later on this evening so I will update the Super Regional Matchups as more info becomes available.
The favorites to advance to Omaha still have to be Texas & Arizona State. They have literally been ranked 1-2 all season long, dispatched quality opponents on a weekly basis, and have both the pitching and the depth to make a solid run at the College World Series.
By the end of this weekend, the field for Omaha will be set as eight teams will make the trip to College Baseball’s Mecca – Rosenblatt Stadium.
