The Road To Omaha Starts with the College Baseball Regionals

As we prepare to enter the hot summer months, Omaha Nebraska is preparing for its busiest time of the year. 64 college baseball teams are all vying for a spot to play their final games at legendary Rosenblatt Stadium. You can view the Tournament Bracket here.

Rosenblatt, the largest minor league baseball field in the U.S. turns into College Baseball’s Mecca for one glorious week in June. This season’s front runners for the College Baseball Championship are the Arizona State Sun Devils, Florida Gators, Texas Longhorns, and Auburn Tigers – all perennial contenders.

Legendary Rosenblatt Stadium Hosts the College World Series for the Last Time

The regional tournaments kick off this weekend as each of the top seeds hosts their own 4 team tournament. After this weekend, the field will be down to 16, where again, the top seeds host the Super Regional.

This year’s tournament holds extra significance for all those in attendance. 2010 is the 60th and final year that the stadium will host the College World Series. After this year, the tournament will move to the brand new TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.
