Pelicans Anthony Davis to Miss Two Weeks

The New Orleans Pelicans will be without their star Anthony Davis for 10-15 days, following a grade two ankle sprain suffered in Wednesday’s preseason game against the Houston Rockets.

Davis suffered the injury in the first quarter of the exhibition match, when he stepped on the foot of Rockets center Nene.  Davis stayed in the game after suffering the injury, but left later in the quarter and did not return.

Davis exited the arena in a walking boot, and his injury could affect his ability to be ready for the Pelicans’ season opener. New Orleans kicks off the 2016 season on October 26th against the Denver Nuggets.
