Magic Send Ibaka to Toronto in Exchange for Terrence Ross, Draft Picks

As the NBA Trade Deadline Approaches, contenders are jockeying for position, particularly in the tight Eastern Conference. Today, the Orlando Magic agreed to send PF Serge Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Terrence Ross and a first round draft pick.

Toronto actually has two first round draft picks in 2017, so Adrian Wojnarowski, who broke the news of the trade, clarified that it would be the lower of the two picks.

With recent news that Kevin Love will miss around six weeks following knee surgery, the playoff race, particularly the push for the #1 seed is heating up. In 56 games with Orlando, Ibaka was averaging career highs in points (15.1) and assists (1.1), although his blocks and rebounds were down below his career averages.
