With the NBA Season just a few weeks away, many basketball fantasy leagues are prepping for the annual draft. Are you ready? We didn’t think so, so we took the time to help rank the top 100 fantasy basketball players for the 2012/2013 season as well as separate lists where we rank each player at their position. These rankings are based off of standard, Rotisserie league with 9 scoring categories (PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK, TO, 3PM, FG%, FT%). If you see players listed under multiple positions, it means that in most standard NBA Fantasy Leagues, you can play them in either slot.[tab name=’Top 100′]

[tab name=’Top PG’]When it comes to choosing a solid fantasy point guard, it comes down to much more than just assists. Scoring is such a huge piece of the equation, that if your PG can’t get to the hoop, you might find yourself trailing the entire league at that position. These point guards below have great combinations of scoring, rebounding, and assist capability, and if you can lock down one of these top point guards, you will find yourself at or near the top of your league.

[tab name=’Top SG’]The shooting guards on your fantasy basketball team need to be well rounded, of course, but this is where you are going to pull in the majority of your points from behind the arc. These guys can also get to the hole and score, almost at will. The top two on our list are aging veterans (Wade and Bryant), but don’t sleep on them. If healthy, they will still lead (or nearly lead) their team in scoring each game.

[tab name=’Top SF’]Two of the league’s best players play the small forward position. This is probably the most versatile position on the court. Small Forwards can rebound, shoot from outside, get to the free throw line, and put up mad crazy points. Durant’s multiple scoring titles this early in his career is a testament to just how dangerous small forwards can be. Odds are that you will be picking a small forward in your first round, especially if you have a top 5 pick.

[tab name=’Top PF’]The power forward position, as it pertains to fantasy basketball, has evolved over the past few years. There once was a time where power forwards rarely left the painted area, and relied heavily on point guards to feed them the ball if they wanted to score. Nowadays, power forwards extend the floor, shoot three pointers particularly well and pull in a large share of rebounds down low. They still aren’t necessarily worthy of a first round pick, but a good one like Kevin Love might go early in the second round.

[tab name=’Top C’]Here is where you are going to get your rebounds. These big guys are fast, athletic and strong, which can mean lots of scoring if given the opportunity. Keep in mind that this is an outside in league now, and only a few centers actually work to create their own shots anymore. Also make sure that you don’t get a center who shoots free throws poorly, it will come back to bite you.
