2011 World Series Overview

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers four games to three, resulting in the franchise’s 11th World Series title and the first since their victory in the 2006 World Series. This also marked the second consecutive World Series defeat for the Rangers (previously lost to the San Francisco Giants in the 2010 World Series). David Freese won World Series MVP honors thanks to his clutch hitting and late-game heroics.
