Wilson Ramos Torn ACL to Miss Remainder of 2016 Season

Washington Nationals manager, Dusty Baker confirmed on Tuesday that catcher Wilson Ramos did indeed tear his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, including playoffs.

Ramos, who was batting .307 with 22 HR and 80 RBI this year was a fixture in the Nationals lineup, playing in 131 games. The injury to Ramos leaves Washington with Jose Lobaton (.220/3HR/6RBI) and Pedro Severino (.350/1HR/3RBI) who have a combined 111 at bats as of today.

The Nationals clinched the NL East title on Saturday, but will be seriously short-handed entering the playoffs, with the loss of Ramos and the uncertainty of Daniel Murphy as the post-season approaches.
